Laying the cedar shingles was also relatively straightforward, although there were more warped and split shingles than usual which meant that it was a close call whether I had enough to complete the roof.
As for the tea house, I cut pieces of plywood to the required size as guides to help keep the exposure the same distance and the shingles aligned.
Each shingle was fixed using 2 stainless steel annular nails.
