Walls
The external wall cladding would be 18mm marine plywood, painted a pale ochre or beige to resemble ageing lime plaster on a traditional mud or clay wall. The wall panels would be inset between framing timbers and studs.
The internal wall cladding would be a thinner (and much cheaper!) plywood, but it was not decided at this stage whether to use oak-veneered plywood or simply paint it the same colour as the external cladding.
Floor
The internal flooring would be planed tongue and groove boards, probably also softwood but waxed and polished to give a reasonable appearance.
The external veranda floor would be simple decking boards, again with a dark oak woodstain to match the timber frame.
Internal fittings
Currently undecided.
