The 'elder brother' of kidi and kaganu in the Ewe drum ensemble. It is approximately 24 inches high, has a closed bottom and a wide belly. The single antelope skin head is about 10 inches in diameter and is played with hands and sticks. Sogo can be a lead drum, converse with other lead drums, or converse and harmonise with kidi.
