Pipe describes a number of musical instruments, historically referring to perforated wind instruments. Folk pipes are fipple flutes which are found in many cultures around the world. Modern manufactured 6-hole folk pipes are usually referred to as penny whistle or tin whistle.

Pipes can also refer to the bagpipes and pan pipes.
