A Russian language poet, novelist and literary translator. In his native Russia, his anthology My Sister, Life, is one of the most influential collections ever published in the Russian language and his translations of plays by Shakespeare and others remain very popular. Outside Russia, he is best known as the author of Doctor Zhivago.
