Nobel Prize

A set of annual international awards bestowed in several categories by Scandinavian committees in recognition of cultural and/or scientific advances. The prizes were established under the will of the Swedish philanthropist and inventor Alfred Nobel in 1895. The prizes (apart from Economic Sciences which was created in 1968) were first awarded in 1901. A prize may not be shared among more than 3 people.
