A founder member of the legendary Liverpool folk group the Spinners.

Born in Cuba and raised in Jamaica, Hall came to Britain to serve in the RAF in 1942. Later he met musician Tony Davis and in the late 1950s the two joined with Hughie Jones and Mick Groves to form the Spinners.

Often know as 'the other Fab Four', the group changed the face of the UK folk scene. They had their own hit BBC TV series and recorded a number of highly successful singles and over 40 albums during the 1960s and 1970s.

Hall retired to Australia, where he died in 2008.
