An American singer-songwriter and musician.

Born in Salinas, California, Greene picked up music at an early age, starting with the piano and at the age of 14 playing guitar in high school. In a short time, he was sitting in with bar bands at the local brewery and, as he got older, composing his own songs.

After graduating, Greene moved to Sacramento and began performing regularly and recording for local label DIG Music.

Greene has toured nationally with the likes of B.B. King, Phil Lesh, Huey Lewis, Susan Tedeschi, Taj Mahal and Buddy Guy, and has performed at many high profile festivals across the country.

In early 2005, Greene signed with a major record label, Verve Forecast.

In 2007, Greene became a member of Phil Lesh & Friends, the Grateful Dead bassist's ensemble dedicated to the interpretation of the Dead's extensive song book.
