Latin percussionist and popular session musician based in LA.

A native of New York City, Castro moved to LA in the late 1970s where he quickly established himself as a first call percussionist in the prestigious LA studio session scene. Since then his talents have taken him to work with a wide range of artists including Toto, Boz Scaggs, Al Jarreau, David Sanborn, Stevie Wonder, Barbra Streisand, Rickie Lee Jones, Joe Sample, Wayne Shorter, Randy Crawford and Bette Midler.
