Arthur C. Clarke Award

The most prestigious award for science fiction in Britain, presented annually for the best science fiction novel of the year, which has been selected from a shortlist of novels whose UK first edition was published in the previous year.

It is named after British author Arthur C. Clarke (1917–2008), who gave a grant to establish the award in 1987.
