An American writer, with over 100 novels and non-fiction books to his credit. He specialised in crime fiction, especially comic capers, with an occasional foray into science fiction or other genres. He was a 3-time Edgar Award winner.
He wrote the novel The Hunter (as Richard Stark) on which Point Blank was based.
