A type of blues music characterised by jazz and jump blues influences, strong piano-dominated sounds and jazzy guitar solos (which originated from Texas blues players relocated to California). Significant artists include Pee Wee Crayton, Lowell Fulsom, Johnny Otis and Big Joe Turner.
