An American country rock band, founded by Carlton Moody and Sneaky Pete Kleinow and named after the 1970 Flying Burrito Brothers album.
Moody (guitar, mandolin, banjo and lead vocals) was previously with the Moody Brothers and had performed with Jackson Browne, Spirit and Linda Ronstadt. Kleinow was the co-founder of the Flying Burrito Brothers along with Gram Parsons, Chris Hillman and Chris Ethridge.
Walter Egan later joined the band as co-lead vocalist and electric guitarist and Kleinow became a more occasional contributor. Other longstanding members include Jeff 'Stick' Davis on both stand-up and electric bass, Richard Bell on keyboards and Bryan Owings on drums. However, the band also frequently includes guest musicians, including Garth Hudson.
Burrito Deluxe has released three albums: Georgia Peach (2002), a tribute to Gram Parsons, The Whole Enchilada (2004) and their latest, the critically acclaimed Disciples Of The Truth, recorded for Luna Chica Records.
