An American drummer whose career has included percussion soloist with the New York Philharmonic as well as recording Family Style with Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughan.

Aberman decided on a career in music at an early age and moved to New York at 15 to study jazz and percussion. He later attended the Eastman School of Music where he studied percussion with John Beck. While at Eastman, he recorded Carnival with Wynton Marsalis. In addition to his orchestral studies, Aberman was drummer in the Eastman Jazz Ensemble, with whom he won best jazz soloist awards from Downbeat Magazine.

There then followed associations with producers Nile Rodgers, Bernard Edwards and Russ Titelman which led to recordings and performances with the Vaughan Brothers, Ric Ocasek, David Lee Roth, Lionel Richie, Nick Lowe and others.

After a tour with the classic rock group Foreigner, Aberman moved to LA. In addition to composing and recording music for jingles, movie soundtracks and television, he recorded with Daniel Lanois, Aaron Neville and others.

Between 2000 and 2003, Aberman toured extensively with the pianist Joe Sample.

Aberman is currently working in Las Vegas plus some session work in LA.
