An American jazz double bass and jazz fusion electric bass player.

He has released 12 albums as a leader. In addition to his solo work, he has played on albums by artists including B.B. King, Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker and John Abercrombie.

He is currently in Wayne Shorter's quartet.
