A UK label dedicated to releasing the very best folk and folk-rock from the British Isles. Fledg’ling began as an independent label in 1995 (Wikipedia says 1991). Some titles were previously released under the Hokey Pokey Records imprint which was also run by the Fledg'ling founder, David Suff, who had been half of the team running the Richard Thompson fanzine Hokey Pokey (named after a Richard and Linda Thompson album).

The label is funded or supported by enthusiasts of this kind of music - notably Richard Thompson and Davey Graham.
