National steel tenor guitar

The Style 2 tenor, like the 1928 model shown, helped banjo players make the transition to guitar as rhythm sections began to change from banjo/tuba to guitar/string bass at the end of the 1920s. These first National tenors had banjo-like headstocks and tuners and a mandolin-like rounded triangular shape.
