American actress. One of her best-known film roles was in the comedy Clueless. She then starred opposite Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie in the award-winning Girl, Interrupted. The same year (1999), she appeared in Drop Dead Gorgeous, which starred Kirstie Alley, Ellen Barkin, Kirsten Dunst and Denise Richards.
In 2001, she starred alongside Michael Douglas in the psychological thriller Don't Say A Word. The following year, she was in Eminem's semi-autobiographical movie, 8 Mile. 2003 saw her star in Uptown Girls. One of her better-known performances came in 2005, with the release of Sin City.
