Fawlty Towers Series 2 (1979)
180 mins
type:
genre(s):
COMEDY

Hotel owner Basil Fawlty's incompetence, short fuse, and arrogance form a combination that ensures accidents and trouble are never far away.

1.  Communication Problems

The geriatric Major and the intermittently deaf Mrs. Richard who expects a room with sea view, lead Basil ever closer to a nervous breakdown. Meanwhile, a racing tip from a rare satisfied guest could land him in it with Sybil.

2. The Psychiatrist

Basil is delighted when a married couple - both doctors - check in. However, Sybil is busy flirting with a young male guest, and when Basil discovers that one of the doctors is a psychiatrist, he grows increasingly paranoid...

3. Waldorf Salad

Basil gets himself in a fluster when a rather abrupt American guest arrives at the hotel and demands quality service. Things get worse after confusion with the evening meal.

4. The Kipper and the Corpse

With toal disregard for Basils' blood pressure, one of the guests dies in the hotel. Basil is initially concerned as to whether the late Mr Leeman had started his breakfast, but his mind soon turns to clearing the room as soon as possible.

5. The Anniversary

It is the Fawltys' wedding anniversary, and Sybil flounces off to the golf course, thinking Basil has forgotten - just moments before a group of their friends arrive for celebratory drinks.

6. Basil the Rat

A public health inspector's visit leaves Basil with a long list of improvements to make to the hotel, but when he discovers that Manuel's pet Siberian hamster is actually a rat, things go from bad to worse!
